All three of our Cyberstingers Robotics teams won awards this weekend at the South Region FTC robotics tournament in Macon, GA.
Cyberstingers Blue won the top award, the Inspire Award, which was given to the team that best represented the goals of the FIRST robotics competition. Blue also received hardware for being on the finalist team with Gold.
Cyberstingers Gold made the playoffs at the event after finishing first at the end of regulation. They made the finals of the playoffs and narrowly lost after receiving a penalty for an illegal movement by their robot. However, the Gold team won two awards: the finalist Alliance Captain award and the Innovate Award.
Cyberstingers Green won the Connect Award for outreach efforts and its engineering portfolio and is the first alternate for the State Championship in three weeks.
Meanwhile, Cyberstingers Blue and Gold are headed to the State Championship on February 14-15, 2025, in Gainesville, Georgia.
